Lenten Book Group – “Me and White Supremacy”
The work of racial justice is . . .
Never easy
Never done
“Me and White Supremacy” is a book by Layla Saad and will guide us on a month long journey into our interactions in a white supremacy culture. This is the culture we live in. Awareness in how that affects us and our relationships matters. “The aim of this work is not self-loathing, but the search for truth.” The book asks the reader to read 4-5 pages a day and engage in some journal questions. We will gather once or twice a week to process our journey. I have read this book three times and each time it has opened up another layer of understanding for me.
