Wednesday Night Soup Suppers!

On Ash Wednesday, Feb. 22, we will kick off our Lenten Wednesday Soup Suppers. Each Wednesday we will offer bread and three big pots of soup from 5:30-6:30pm with book discussion (for those who wish to participate) from 6-7pm. Those participating in the book discussion will begin discussing ‘Me and White Supremacy’ on March 1, but our soup suppers will begin on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 22. On Ash Wednesday only, soup will be served from 6-7pm so that we can move from dinner to the service. Those in the March book discussion will be able to grab a bite to eat, then move to Heritage Hall for discussion while those just wishing to eat and enjoy each other’s company can arrive anytime after 5:30 for dinner. We will all be done in time for choir practice.

We will need three people to sign up to bring a pot of soup & two others to each provide a loaf of good bread. Those volunteering for that day are also on dishwasher duty after the meal. Donations will be split between Prism and Northpoint as ‘March is Foodshare Month.’ Special envelopes will also be available for those who would like to make an offering for our ‘Raise the Roof’ campaign. Come, enjoy the community!
