Ministers

Rev. Kathy is dedicated to fostering spiritual growth, kindness, and. She has been with our congregation since 2010, previously serving as pastor at Parkway UCC. A mother of four and grandmother, has 12 years of experience on the UCC Committee on Ministry and has supported those seeking ordination. She is passionate about GLBT+, disability, and children's rights, as well as affordable housing, and has transitioned from a background in faith formation and pastoral care the Catholic Church. Dawn, a long-time member, was commissioned as a Minister of Liturgical Art in 2013. She enjoys

creating “visual theology” with the congregation, especially during the Lenten season. Inspired by the arts at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities, she received her Masters of Divinity degree in 1997.

Pastor Laura is a disabilty justice minister. She helps churches be safe and welcoming to people with disabilities and mental health issues. Her duties include leading a special committee, book studies, worship services and more.

Mikayla supports the spiritual formation of children, youth and families. She coordinates the Sunday School and Youth Programs, creating welcoming spaces for kids to grow in their faith and within our community. Mikayla is a lifelong UCC member who grew up outside of Chicago, and now lives in Uptown Minneapolis with her two roommates. She studied Geology and Environmental Studies at Macalester College and would love to see any cool rocks you've found! She enjoys crafting, line dancing and spending time at the lake!

David Lohman has dedicated his life to church music and musical theatre, serving as Minister of Music in UCC and Presbyterian congregations. He has worked to combat the harm done to LGBTQ+ individuals by toxic religion, spending eleven years as a National Faith Organizer for the National LGBTQ Task Force. His hymn “For All the Children” is sung in inclusive congregations nationwide and featured in the Lutheran hymnal supplement, All Creation Sings. Additionally, he spent 3½ years as associate conductor for the Broadway tour of The Phantom of the Opera and was the music director for Glensheen at the History Theatre.
