Scripture: Luke 5:1-11 (Jesus calls the first disciples)
Preacher: Katie Gant
Sermon Title: The Big Catch
Fishermen had been fishing all day, but with no luck. Jesus tells them to cast out their nets in a different spot. They followed Jesus’ command, and their nets filled so full they began to break and their boat began to sink from all the fish. Jesus called the fishermen to be his first disciples and be fishers of people. How does this story speak to us today and what does it mean to be “fishers of people”?

The Beatitudes are a beloved passage from scripture, but do they have a message for us today, and if so, what is it? In the history of the world, we are the country with the most wealth and resources – so what do we do with a message like this?
Feb. 23 7th Sunday after Epiphany
Scripture: Luke 6: 27-38 (Love for enemies, do not judge, forgive and you will be forgiven, give and it will be given to you…)
