Join Us for Soup Suppers This Lent at Robbinsdale Parkway United Church of Christ

Kickoff on Ash Wednesday: February 18th

Ash Wednesday marks a special time for our community. It’s the beginning of our congregational Soup Suppers, starting on February 18th. This is a wonderful opportunity for fellowship and nourishment, both for our bodies and our spirits.

Weekly Gatherings

Each week, various ministry groups will take turns setting up and cleaning up. This collaborative effort fosters a sense of community and shared responsibility. We invite everyone to participate! There will be a sign-up sheet available for those who wish to bring soup. We ask for four regular meat options and one vegetarian choice, along with two delicious bread offerings.

Food service will begin promptly at 5:30 PM and continue until 6:30 PM. We want to ensure that everyone has the chance to enjoy a warm meal and connect with one another.

Lent Book Selections

In addition to our Soup Suppers, we will offer two book selections to read during Lent. These readings are designed to inspire reflection and growth. They will help us deepen our understanding of faith and community.

Lent is a season of reflection and renewal. It invites us to pause and consider our spiritual journeys. As we gather for soup suppers, let’s also take time to engage with the book selections. Together, we can explore themes of justice, inclusivity, and love.
