Minister
Kathy Itzin
Rev. Kathy loves nurturing and encouraging people’s growth in spirituality, kindness, and justice. She was the pastor at Parkway UCC before our Parkway/Robbinsdale consolidation and has served our congregation since 2010. She and her wife have raised four children, and they enjoy several grandchildren. Kathy has served on the UCC Committee on Ministry for 12 years, been an advisor minister for people in the process of ordination and supervised pastoral interns. She was Vice-Chair of Faith Formation Leadership as well as the Interfaith Children’s Advocacy Network for many years. She has a passion for GLBT+, disability and children’s rights, sanctuary, and affordable housing. Kathy came to the UCC after many years of working in faith formation and pastoral care in the Catholic Church.
Justice Minister
Laura Cannata
Pastor Laura is a disabilty justice minister. She helps churches be safe and welcoming to people with disabilities and mental health issues. Her duties include leading a special committee, book studies, worship services and more.
Associate Minister of Liturgical Art
Dawn Carlson Conn
Dawn, a long-time member, was commissioned as a Minister of Liturgical Art in 2013. She enjoys
creating “visual theology” with the congregation, especially during the Lenten season. Inspired by the arts at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities, she received her Masters of Divinity degree in 1997.
